Spring is not just what it is,
Not only the first season of a year.
It could also be a refreshing morning,
Night is still far away.
Spring could be such a time:
A small fish swims forward in a pond,
As if in a vast ocean;
An ant climbs up a mound,
As if on top of a mountain to the distant vision;
A seed comes out of soil,
As if life was green plains extending out of sight.
Spring could be every moment you squander,
When you still have enough capital
To build fantasies and expectations;
When cold rocks are drowned in passionate tide;
When flowers bloom and fade, quietly and quickly,
But you do not feel it at all.
Spring could be the mists in the forests
Dispersed by the midday sun;
A hazy shadow receding
When you suddenly look back in the soft sunset;
A picture full of colours
Repainted white with snow:
In all mountains, no trace of wings;
On all paths, no man's footprint.
